[2023/10/04 16:19] MidnightMinion Cyberstar: "Where's your grain storage? Aren't there usually mice there?"

[2023/10/04 16:21] Sonja Bikergrrl: "There's mice in the other field, I think, that's where the barn is that the grain is stored in. Two should do it!"
[2023/10/04 16:22] Alicia Frakture: Hold on. wait a minute
[2023/10/04 16:23] Alicia Frakture: We're doing this for you, what is in it for us?
[2023/10/04 16:23] MidnightMinion Cyberstar: Debben looks around in the kitchen for a decent pot and some sort of smelly cheese

[2023/10/04 16:25] Sonja Bikergrrl: Fairy godmother: "I'm fairly sure that mice eating cheese is an old wives' tale..."

[2023/10/04 16:27] Alicia Frakture: This lady is magic, how about a bit of a magic boost, or something like that. or ya know gold is an adventureers best friend
[2023/10/04 16:27] Sonja Bikergrrl: Fairy godmother: looks at Debben, then sighs, since she clearly hasn't an idea on what mice eat. "There's some red leicester, you could try that..."
[2023/10/04 16:28] Sonja Bikergrrl: Fairy godmother: "How about you get them mice first?"
[2023/10/04 16:29] Alicia Frakture: How about you pay us for the pumpkin first?
[2023/10/04 16:29] MidnightMinion Cyberstar: "Shouldn't need to be a lot," she comments, getting a bit of the niffy cheese. "And that's the point of the cheeze, this plus a little drop snare to catch them."
[2023/10/04 16:29] Sonja Bikergrrl: Fairy godmother: "It's our pumpkin!"
[2023/10/04 16:30] Alicia Frakture: then you should have had no problem getting it. there was a plant out there that looked like it wanted to eat us. that's a threat to our well being for your pumpkin. It's real simple, you want her to go to the ball, you gotta play ball.
[2023/10/04 16:31] Alicia Frakture: Not asking for the world. Just fair compensation for what we have done and what you want us to do
[2023/10/04 16:32] Sonja Bikergrrl: /me waits for anyone else

[2023/10/04 16:34] MidnightMinion Cyberstar: Debben grabs some forks and cord to finish the needed parts of their traps. "Are you going to need anything -else- once you have the mice?"
[2023/10/04 16:34] Sonja Bikergrrl: Fairy godmother: "That's it, pumpkin, mice."
[2023/10/04 16:36] MidnightMinion Cyberstar: "Alright, so my plan is to set a snare and wait. Might be a bit."

[2023/10/04 16:37] Sonja Bikergrrl: okay.. so.. you're heading out to the barn in the other field?

[2023/10/04 16:44] Sonja Bikergrrl: You approach the barn, and, from within, comes a -very- high-pitched voice. "You realize that mice eating cheese is an old wives' tale, right?"
[2023/10/04 16:44] MidnightMinion Cyberstar: "The old lady told me that too," Debben answers.
[2023/10/04 16:44] Sonja Bikergrrl: "Well we aren't coming out, not for cheese!"
[2023/10/04 16:45] ɗίηα ωíƖɗę ღ (dinadrone): "will you come out for some seeds or bread?"
[2023/10/04 16:46] Sonja Bikergrrl: "No, but make it a dead snake, and you're on."
[2023/10/04 16:47] MidnightMinion Cyberstar: "I doubt snakes eat cheese either, but we can look. In the woods, perhaps?"
[2023/10/04 16:47] Sonja Bikergrrl: "We'd look behind you - it's about to attack!" And behind you, you do indeed hear a HISS
[2023/10/04 16:48] Sonja Bikergrrl: the dreaded words "roll for initiative" - d12
[2023/10/04 16:48] Alicia Frakture: Leesha looks behind her
[2023/10/04 16:48] Sonja Bikergrrl: beat a 6
[2023/10/04 16:48] MidnightMinion Cyberstar: BWAAA! Debben whirls around and throws the cookpot at the snake!
[2023/10/04 16:49] Sonja Bikergrrl: You turn to see a huge snake rearing up, it's forked tongue flickering as it looks from one to the other, deciding who to attack first...
[2023/10/04 16:49] Sonja Bikergrrl: you're attacking with a pot... okay... anyone else...?
[2023/10/04 16:50] ɗίηα ωíƖɗę ღ (dinadrone): "Ok this is bad", reaching for her flail
[2023/10/04 16:50] Alicia Frakture: Leesha still have the Scythe?*
[2023/10/04 16:50] Sonja Bikergrrl: pretty sure, but are you proficient in scythes?
[2023/10/04 16:50] Alicia Frakture: *No just lucky so far.*
[2023/10/04 16:51] Sonja Bikergrrl: d20s all round to attack... -2 for the scythe
[2023/10/04 16:51] Alicia Frakture: But Since she has it she is going to swing it trying to decapitate the snake
[2023/10/04 16:51] MidnightMinion Cyberstar: It's the thing that was in her hands and her spear needs two. Thus, throw the thing I am holding in panic mode

[2023/10/04 16:52] Sonja Bikergrrl: Dahlia and Leesha score hits, Debben flings the pot but it narrowly misses and flies past it
[2023/10/04 16:52] Sonja Bikergrrl: d6 from Dahlia and Leesha
[2023/10/04 16:53] Sonja Bikergrrl: Leesha swipes at the snake at about the same time as Dahlia swipes with her flail, both hitting and injuring the snake badly.
[2023/10/04 16:54] Sonja Bikergrrl: The snake hisses in fury and darts forward to snap at Leesha
[2023/10/04 16:54] Sonja Bikergrrl: and... it misses.
[2023/10/04 16:54] Sonja Bikergrrl: Now what?
[2023/10/04 16:55] Alicia Frakture: As it snaps at Leesha she tries for an uppercut.
[2023/10/04 16:55] Sonja Bikergrrl: Dahlia, Debben?

[2023/10/04 16:57] MidnightMinion Cyberstar: Debben moves to the side and tries to spear the snake.... how big of a snake is it anyhow?

[2023/10/04 17:00] Sonja Bikergrrl: Leeshas' fist catches the snake under the chin and it literally flies end over end to fall on the ground on its' back and lays very still.
[2023/10/04 17:01] Sonja Bikergrrl: "Is it... gone...?" squeaks a voice from the barn.
[2023/10/04 17:02] Alicia Frakture: Leesha is gonna hit it again in case it is faking."We're about to find out."
[2023/10/04 17:02] Sonja Bikergrrl: d20, I guess...
[2023/10/04 17:02] Sonja Bikergrrl: You punch the ground. The snake doesn't move.
[2023/10/04 17:03] Alicia Frakture: Yeah, it's gone
[2023/10/04 17:03] Sonja Bikergrrl: Two large mice come crawling out, noses and whiskers twitching. "Thank you so much!"
[2023/10/04 17:03] MidnightMinion Cyberstar: Debben moves up with the point of her spear ready to finish it if needed.
[2023/10/04 17:03] MidnightMinion Cyberstar: it being the snake
[2023/10/04 17:04] Sonja Bikergrrl: it still don't move...
[2023/10/04 17:05] Alicia Frakture: Leesha looks at the mice."Don't thank us yet. Lady in the kitchen wants to see you."
[2023/10/04 17:05] Sonja Bikergrrl: The mice squeak and nod. "Lead on!"
[2023/10/04 17:06] MidnightMinion Cyberstar: Debben heads back, picking up the pot that got thrown
[2023/10/04 17:07] Sonja Bikergrrl: You return to the kitchen, and the fairy godmother is very pleased to see you. "Excellent! I'll just cast the spell... pumpkin -here-... mice -here-... and I wave the wand..."
[2023/10/04 17:08] MidnightMinion Cyberstar: Debben is paying very close attention to this magic
[2023/10/04 17:08] Sonja Bikergrrl: There's a loud tinkly sound of magic, followed by a loud crashing and splintering as the small kitchen suddenly contains a very large carriage. There's whinnies from the horses, but it's okay, they're not harmed, although they did get their heads thrust through the kitchen window.
[2023/10/04 17:08] Alicia Frakture: Leesha steps back out of the magic area
[2023/10/04 17:08] ɗίηα ωíƖɗę ღ (dinadrone): watches at a safe distance or what seems to be safe
[2023/10/04 17:08] Sonja Bikergrrl: The fairy godmother looks at this. "Yes... should've done that outside..."
[2023/10/04 17:09] Sonja Bikergrrl: The goblin Cinderella looks in as dust and splinters filter down slowly. "Uhm... the ball... am I still going...?"
[2023/10/04 17:10] MidnightMinion Cyberstar: Does the goblin cindy still have her house-maid clothes on?
[2023/10/04 17:11] Sonja Bikergrrl: The fairy godmother shrugs. "Eh. They completed the story, and broke your curse, so... sure, why not, it's close enough." Another loud magical tinkling sound and the goblin Cinderella vanishes, to be replaced by a very small figure, flying in the air. "Oooh! You broke my curse!"
[2023/10/04 17:13] MidnightMinion Cyberstar: What sort of small flying figure?
[2023/10/04 17:13] Sonja Bikergrrl: You've never seen it before, but you just know you're looking at one of the fairy kind, probably a pixie, judging by the slow drift of golden motes of dust from it.
[2023/10/04 17:13] ɗίηα ωíƖɗę ღ (dinadrone): "well that was an interesting and sudden change. What sort of magic was that ?"
[2023/10/04 17:14] Sonja Bikergrrl: "Evil magic, that's what it was! Evil magic cast by a very nasty and very magical goblin. A real goblin, too, and very evil. But there's others to set free."
[2023/10/04 17:15] MidnightMinion Cyberstar: Was Debben able to glean any magical clues from the mice to horses or pumpkin to carriage spell?
[2023/10/04 17:16] Sonja Bikergrrl: It's hard for you to tell exactly what happened or how. Other than mice and pumpkins became horses and carriage.
[2023/10/04 17:17] Sonja Bikergrrl: "You'd better go and free the others now," the pixie says.
[2023/10/04 17:18] Alicia Frakture: /me sighs and nods
[2023/10/04 17:19] Alicia Frakture: Not apologizing for asking to be paid
[2023/10/04 17:19] Sonja Bikergrrl: And everything goes wibbly and wobbly like an 80s video transition, but just as you see the woodcutter and the six pathways, text scrolls up saying... "Tune in next week to see which path is taken next!"
[2023/10/04 17:19] Sonja Bikergrrl: best cliffhanger I could think up ;)
[2023/10/04 17:20] Alicia Frakture: /me Smiles."that was good. Hope I didn't bring the mood down by the stubborn thing
